All PSI test centers and exams are monitored by audio/video surveillance and the Test Center Administrator (TCA) to protect our Test Takers and in the integrity of the exam

Prohibited Items - Not Allowed in the Testing Room
- Test Takers may only take approved items into the testing room.
- All personal belongings, except for sweatshirts or clothing items that are part of an outfit or religious apparel, shall be placed in the secure storage provided at each site prior to entering the testing room. Personal belongings include, but are not limited to:
- No Electronic devices of any type is allowed - including cellular / mobile phones, recording devices, electronic watches, cameras, laptop computers, tablet computers (e.g., iPads), earphones, smart watches and rings, or electronic games.
- Any of these devices that do not fit into a security locker/locker bag may not remain in the test center. No Exceptions. Failure to comply may result in rescheduling your exam.
Prohibited Clothing, Hats, Etc. - Not Allowed in the Testing Room
- Bulky or loose clothing or coats, including all outerwear, that could conceal recording devices, or notes is not permitted to be worn in the testing room.
- Hats or headgear not worn for religious reasons or as religious apparel, including hats, baseball caps, or visors are not permitted to be worn in the testing room.
- Other personal items including purses, backpacks, briefcases, wallets, regular watches, notebooks, notes, reference or reading materials, pens, pencils, other writing devices, paper including tissues, food, drinks, gum, candy, good luck items, or weapons of any kind.
The Check-In Process - Required for All Test Takers
- During the check-in process, all Test Takers will be asked if they possess any prohibited items.
- All Test Takers will go through a physical security check. All Test Takers will be asked to:
- Empty their pockets and turn them out for to ensure all are empty.
- Show eyeglass frames, tie tacks, buttons, or other apparel to ensure no recording devices are hidden.
- All Test Takers will go through a security scan utilizing a metal detection wand
- Any exceptions are based on the Exam Sponsor
If prohibited items are found during check-in, the Test Taker must put them in the secure locker/locker bag or remove these items from the test center. PSI will not be responsible for the security of any personal belongings or prohibited items.
All electronic devices must be completely powered off and verified by the TCA before placing them in secure storage. Any items unable to be powered off completely will NOT be allowed to remain in the testing center.
Any electronic device that is powered on after entering the testing room will be grounds for immediate dismissal and forfeiture of exam fees.
