The SPCA of Wake County is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and NOT animal control. We are collecting this information solely for the internal purpose of providing you with the best level of service possible and to inform future development for SPCA Wake services. The more information you provide about the cats you are helping in our community, the easier it is for us to partner with you to provide help. Community Cat is a term used to describe outdoor, unowned, free-roaming cats. Just like house cats, community cats come in a variety of shapes, sizes and personalities. Community cats who have dedicated caretakers to provide them with spay/neuter services and regular feedings, can live contently outdoors for the rest of their lives.

Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release (TNVR) is one of the most common ways to support community cats/community cat colonies. To request spay/neuter surgery services, or other types of community cat assistance, please continue with the form below. Please note that if you are requesting spay/neuter surgery services, you must be able to trap and transport the cat(s) to our Saving Lives Spay/Neuter Clinic.

This help form will put you in touch with a community cat specialist. This form will not be reviewed by our intake or admission team. If you would like to have an animal considered for intake, a Rehoming Assistance help form is required.

Community or feral cat colonies often start with just 2 or 3 cats and quickly reach unmanageable numbers.

Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) is a humane and effective approach to stabilizing cat colonies. Not only will this prevent reproduction, but it will protect and improve their lives.
