2024-2025 Faith Formation Programs

Sunday School: age 3- Kindergarten (homestudy available)

Faith Formation: 1st - 5th grade (homestudy available)

Encounter: 6th - 8th grade (homestudy available 6-7th grade)

Confirmation: 8th grade (register for both Encounter and 8th Grade Confirmation)

All families registering a student to receive a sacrament, First Sacraments (2nd Grade) or Confirmation Year 1-2 (7th - 8th Grade), must be registered members of OLG Parish. Parish registration is offered monthly, see our website for details. www.olgparish.org/become-a-parishioner

Information about Home Study:

Sunday School and Grades 1-5: Families are given the same curricular materials that are used in the OLG on-site classes for each age group; lesson schedules and links to on-line teaching resources will be provided. New Home Study parents should schedule an appointment with Stephanie Lloyd to receive materials and training.

Grades 6-7: You will receive instructions on how to use the online or printed materials to teach your child the Encounter Sessions at home. Students are expected to attend major events according to the calendar

Payment Inventory

Please note that once you submit this form you will still need to pay on our payment page or by check. The submit button will redirect you to our payment page where you will put the quantity (# of children) next to each ministry area that applies. If you’re child(ren) is(are) receiving First Sacraments or Confirmation, make sure to put the # of children next to those areas as well. (please indicate Faith Formation and child's name in the memo line). Sacramental prep fees are not tied to grades, but to books, banners, and retreats. Scholarships are always available to those in need and no child will be denied faith formation.

First Sacraments Preparation	$50 (covers materials cost)	This fee only applies to 2nd graders/students preparing to receive First Holy Communion in the Spring of 2025.
Encounter (6-8)	$135	For all 6th through 8th graders, including those being Confirmed. If you are registering an 8th grader for Confirmation you must pay the Encounter Fee and the Confirmation Prep Fee. The Confirmation prep fee is for the required retreat.
Confirmation Preparation	$125	This fee only applies to 8th graders, students preparing to receive Confirmation in the Spring of 2025. If you are registering an 8th grader for Confirmation you must pay the Encounter Fee AND the Confirmation Prep Fee. The Confirmation prep fee is for the required retreat. Generous donors are subsidizing the actual cost of the retreat so students pay a reduced fee.
