The cost for the 2024-2025 SHS Marching Season will be $900 per student. The Sanderson Band Booster organization refers to this amount as a student's 'fair share'. This money covers the many expenses accrued by the band during the fall competition season. Some of these expenses include the cost of band camp, specialized instructors, meals, travel costs and uniform fees.
The cost of the spring trip is not included in the fair share assessment, but you may use the fundraisers to build up your balance (over and above $900) to pay for any trips. Typically, there is a 'major trip' in the odd years and a 'smaller' trip in the even years. For example, in the spring of 2023 the SHS band traveled to Disney World and in May this year the band will travel to Carowinds.
The Marching Band fair share payments are scheduled as follows:
$150 due with registration by Friday, May 24th. This is a non-refundable deposit with your registration.
$250 due by August 1, 2024
$250 due by September 1, 2024
$250 due by October 1, 2024
All fair share accounts for the current marching season must be paid in full by October 1, 2024. Students whose accounts are not fully paid may not participate in the next season's activities (Percussion Ensemble, Winter Guard or the next year's Marching Band) until their account is brought current.
