First Impressions Tuition Assistance
Eligibility

Eligible children must be enrolled or eligible for enrollment in a participating, licensed, child care center, family child care home or preschool program in Routt County. The amount of potential assistance is determined by a variety of factors including gross monthly income, child care costs, the number of child care days needed and the number of children in care. Tuition Assistance is paid directly to the participating Child Care Center on behalf of approved families. The First Impressions Tuition Assistance Program is supported through limited grant funding and other temporary financial resources. As such, funding availability is not guaranteed and may change at any time without notice. First Impressions reserves the right to approve, deny, or discontinue assistance for any applicant at its sole discretion and for any reason, including but not limited to funding limitations, eligibility concerns, or program priorities.

First Impressions Tuition Assistance is limited to working families earning up to 400% FPL (Federal Poverty Level) and who are not eligible for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) Applications are due on the 20th of each month in order to be considered for a scholarship beginning the next month.

NOTE: Before completing this form, please make sure you have your paystubs up to date and ready to attach at the end of this form. You will not be able to submit the form if you do not attach the paystubs. Remember, we need 2 updated (last month) paystubs for each person working in the household.

If your FPL is 265% or below, you are/will be encouraged to apply for CCCAP BEFORE applying for First Impressions tuition assistance.

It is my responsibility to coordinate with the administration at my child’s center to confirm availability. There is no guarantee of tuition assistance if I change my child care arrangements during the school year.I agree to notify the First Impressions Program Leader in writing or by email if there is a change (increase or decrease) in my income of 10% or greater from the time of my initial application.
