KSC & HRMM Membership

The Kingston Sailing Club is a long-time partner of the Hudson River Maritime Museum, and their Sailing School and Wooden Boat School. We enjoy regular use of their facilities, we volunteer for and support their programs, and many of our sailors are active with both organizations. They are a vital member of our Rondout Creek & Hudson River communities. https://www.hrmm.org/

By agreement, all associate and skipper KSC members contribute $20 via KSC to the museum as part of your annual club fee. You are welcome and encouraged to give more directly to HRMM.
Acknowledgment: Upon registration and payment to KSC, you'll receive instructions and a code to apply this contribution toward your personal, family, or other new or existing membership with HRMM. KSC will share your name and email address with HRMM as part of an annual KSC Membership roster, and the club will pay HRMM the total contribution collected in member dues.

Change to NY State Boating Law: Legislation passed in 2019 called Brianna’s Law, will require that all operators of motorized craft – regardless of age - complete an approved boating safety class by 2025 (Not required for those who are renting boats).

Waiver of Claims: In consideration of the acceptance of my membership in the Kingston Sailing Club (KSC) and as a condition of my participation in any race or sailing related activity sponsored by KSC, I hereby waive all claims which I may have against KSC and its respective officers, directors, members, committees, employees, agents, or sponsors, arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in any race or related activity sponsored or undertaken by any of them. I will inform my insurance underwriter of this waiver and inform all crewmembers of any yacht, which I sail in any race or activity, of their responsibility for safety and I will keep my liability insurance current. I agree that this waiver is binding on my heirs, representatives, successors and assigns.

It is the goal of Kingston Sailing Club to promote and encourage the Corinthian spirit of racing and cruising; promote and encourage sportsmanship, seamanship, appreciation of the sailing environment, and the non-polluting, recreational use of our local waters, specifically, the Hudson River and its tributaries; and serve the best interests of the membership of the Kingston Sailing Club and establish and maintain facilities for the use of its membership.
