Band of Brothers Augusta is excited to announce the 8th Annual Juneteenth Augusta celebration. “Juneteenth” is an annual celebration to commemorate the emancipation of the last remaining group of slaves in 1865. This year the festivities will be held from Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 to Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 with the Juneteenth Augusta Festival being the grand finale! 

 The Juneteenth Augusta Free-ish Art Exhibit embodies a celebration of freedom, culture, and creativity within our community. By showcasing the diverse talents of local artists, it offers a platform for expression and storytelling, amplifying voices that might otherwise go unheard. Through vibrant displays of visual art, sculpture, and performance, the exhibit cultivates an atmosphere of inclusivity and reflection, inviting viewers to engage with themes of identity, history, and social justice. Beyond mere aesthetics, the exhibit sparks important conversations and fosters connections among attendees, fostering a sense of belonging and unity. Furthermore, it provides opportunities for artists to gain recognition, support, and networking within the local arts scene, contributing to their professional development and sustainability. Ultimately, the Juneteenth Augusta Free-ish Art Exhibit enriches the cultural landscape of our community, serving as a source of inspiration, education, and empowerment for all who participate.
