Band of Brothers Augusta is excited to announce the 8th Annual Juneteenth Augusta celebration. “Juneteenth” is an annual celebration to commemorate the emancipation of the last remaining group of slaves in 1865. This year the festivities will be held from Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 to Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 with the Juneteenth Augusta Festival being the grand finale! 

The Juneteenth Augusta Health Forum stands as a pivotal event in our community, offering a platform for crucial discussions on health and wellness. With a focus on celebrating freedom and advocating for equitable healthcare access, the forum fosters awareness and empowers individuals to take charge of their well-being. By bringing together healthcare professionals, community leaders, and residents, it facilitates dialogue, education, and action towards addressing disparities in healthcare. Moreover, the forum serves as a catalyst for community engagement, encouraging collaboration and resource-sharing to enhance overall health outcomes. Ultimately, its impact extends beyond the event itself, leaving a lasting legacy of improved health literacy and strengthened community resilience.
