2024 City of Carbondale Summer Internship Program
The 2024 City of Carbondale Summer Internship Program invites a cohort of students from Carbondale Community High School to work up to 10 to 20 flex hours per week for an EIGHT WEEK PROGRAM within departments across the City from Friday, May 31st 2024 to Friday, July 26th 2024. These students will gain transferable work skills through everyday tasks, while assisting on larger projects determined by each department. Each week, students will participate in a lunch and learn program in which they will meet community members that will speak on a variety of topics ranging from networking to financial planning. Interns will receive an hourly wage of $16.00 per hour. Preferred Forms of Work, Availability, and Accommodations
Selected interns will have the option to either work up to 10 hours per week or 20 hours per week. The program coordinators will attempt to pair you with a preferred City department and will take into consideration any accommodations required by interns throughout the program. BELOW ARE DEPARTMENT OPTIONS. Descriptions of each department are available by request and can be found on the informative handout.
