A little about us, New Vision Special Care Homes Ltd. operates a range of housing options from long-term care facilities, independent living supports (ILS) and small option homes (SOH). We are a family-owned business that has been supporting persons with complex and unique care needs. We provide ‘person-centered care’ in our aim to support people who may have struggled to find suitable placements that can meet their individual care needs in their daily living. Our approach to care works with our residents to identify these distinctive care needs with respect for the client's autonomy and in collaboration with the relevant outside stakeholders such as family, care teams, and medical services. This means we start with the person, identify where they may need support, and bring the appropriate resources and personnel into their circle of care.
New Vision Special Care Homes, in partnership with Easter Seals Nova Scotia, has generously established a Camp Tidnish scholarship in honour of Caregivers, as a way to give back to those who are always giving of themselves. The New Vision Special Care Scholarship is open to any individual who has a family member working in the caregiving field, such as NRs, CCAs RRW PCW, ILSW, PCA.
Caregivers play a vital role in society by providing ongoing support and assistance to those in need. These professionals dedicate their time and effort to help individuals who may be facing health challenges, disabilities, or other limitations. These individuals make significant personal sacrifices to support the well-being of others, and their contributions are invaluable to the individuals they care for and to society as a whole. Recognizing and appreciating the efforts of caregivers is essential for building a compassionate and supportive community.
The New Vision Special Care Scholarship will cover the registration fees for one individual to attend Camp Tidnish during the 2024 Camping Season.
