“My job is to somehow make them curious enough or persuade them, by hook or crook, to get more aware of themselves and where they came from and what they are into and what is already there, and just to bring it out. This is what compels me to compel them and I will do it by whatever means necessary."
- Nina Simone, Loving Your Blackness By Any Means Necessary
Thank you so much for supporting B.A.C.'s Read in Color book drive. Our goal is to collaborate with community members and organizations to keep 10 book sharing library boxes across Los Angeles stocked!

B.A.C. is the first international book club and sis-STAR circle for Black and indigenous girls from birth through grade 6. Being a part of this cohort, we prioritized stewards who are immersed into the rich vibrant multicultural community of Los Angeles.
By working with our stewards, we are able to meet Black, Brown and indigenous children and families right in their communities.
We hope that the books donated give them the courage to author and reauthor their narratives. Thank you so much for your donation!
