A. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for joining this survey! Your voice matters and we are truly glad that you are taking the time to participate.
Europe is facing a number of different challenges, and more are being added all the time. In order to meet these common challenges, joint solutions and cooperation across borders are required. The European Commission is looking for your inputs on how to shape the next iteration of cooperation-focused EU funding programmes.
What is Interreg and why should it matter to you?
Interreg is one of the key funding mechanisms fostering European cohesion and cooperation. Funded projects come up with innovative solutions to pressing issues such as global heating, flood risk, and how to harness new technology. They provide proof points for new ideas through pilots on the ground. Interreg funding has delivered countless examples of real change in real places.
In the future, it is important that Interreg will continue to address the top challenges faced in each region. Which challenges on the horizon are set to grow in importance? Your responses will help the European Commission to redesign Interreg in the next funding period starting in 2028.
What is Interreg North Sea?
The Interreg North Sea Programme funds cooperation across different countries and sectors in the North Sea Region (please see map below). Since 1997, we have funded over 320 cooperation projects on topics ranging from maritime planning to green mobility and climate change. With this survey, we are reaching out to stakeholders in our region to learn what you think cooperation in this part of Europe should focus on in the future.
Your data is safe!
Please note that your answers will be treated anonymously unless you choose otherwise. GDPR rules will be respected.
The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. It is open until 31 May 2024 at 17:00 CET.
We appreciate your suggestions and opinions very much. Your input will be passed on to the European Commission.
With sincere thanks,
