The mParks Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for President-Elect and Board Member-at-Large. Interested candidates must submit this form by May 17, 2024.

Election Timeline
- Candidate Interest Forms will be accepted April 15 to May 17, 2024.
- By May 21, 2024, the Nominating Committee will present a proposed slate to the Secretary/Treasurer for approval.
- On May 22, 2024, the Secretary/Treasurer shall authorize the distribution of the official ballot to the eligible voting members.
- Voting will close at 5:00 pm on June 7, 2024.
- The official announcement of election results will be on/or before June 14, 2024.
The candidate interest form requires written responses to the following prompts:
- Summarize Your Professional Background
- List prior involvement with mParks Board of Directors, Committees, Focus Areas, and other opportunities.
- Explain the initiatives you think mParks should be undertaking to position the Parks and Recreation profession for relevance.
- Describe how you feel mParks can recruit new members and engage its membership.
- What are the main priorities and issues you believe mParks should focus on and influence?
- Please explain why you want to serve on the mParks Board of Directors and the value you will add.
The form also requires the submission of a 90-second video covering the following questions:
- What made you want to run for a board position this year?
- In your opinion, what is the most important thing the association staff and leadership should focus their efforts on over the next 12-18 months?
- What was your favorite park or playground feature growing up and why?
