To register as a participant, register to Devpost (https://safehacks.devpost.com/) and sign up for SafeHacks there, then submit this form.

This year's hackathon iteration of XdHacks takes place at the Vancouver Independent School for Science and Technology (VISST) from June 8 to June 9, 2024.

The theme of XdHacks 2024 is internet safety - we hope you are excited to collaborate and innovate with others, tackle pressing real-world issues, and network with industry professionals and experts in the field.

For registration (until June 7, 2024, 11:59 pm), the fee is $10.00 per individual. You will have the option to register as an individual, an individual in a team, or a team.

Registration Information

Register as an independent attendee, an individual already part of a team, or an entire team.
At SafeHacks 2024, participating teams will have between 2-5 members. You may either register as:
- an independent (we will place you in a team)
- an individual part of a team (you will need to record the names of your team members)
- an entire team (2-5 teammates)
If you are already certain of your team members, we strongly recommend registering as an entire team as it secures all of your spots.

Teams that have registered and are not meeting the five-attendee capacity may have other attendees join their team. Teams that initially registered separately welcome to merge with another incomplete team by contacting the email below.

NOTE: Registration fees will NOT be refunded should any team members be absent. If the need to substitute any team members should arise, please contact us as soon as possible.

I, the undersigned legal guardian of the participant, hereby acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions outlined below for participation in the XdHacks Mini Vancouver hackathon.

I hereby grant permission for my child to participate in XdHacks Mini Vancouver's hackathon SafeHacks. I understand the nature of the event and its potential risks, and I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, and volunteers associated with XdHacks Mini from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses that may arise as a result of my child's participation in the event.

I acknowledge that participation in the SafeHacks hackathon may involve certain risks, including but not limited to physical injury, mental stress, or damage to personal property. I understand these risks and agree that the organizers, sponsors, and volunteers of XdHacks Mini Vancouver shall not be held liable for any injuries or damages sustained during the event.

OPTIONAL: I hereby grant permission for the organizers, sponsors, and media partners of XdHacks Mini Vancouver to use photographs, videos, and audio recordings taken during the event, which may include the participant's image or voice. These materials may be used for promotional, educational, or other purposes related to the XdHacks Mini Vancouver hackathon.

- 2 members: $20.00
- 3 members: $30.00
- 4 members: $40.00
- 5 members: $50.00
