The STEM Leaders Empower The Empower Summer program is a free, 6-week, full-day camp for youth in Grades 8-10 that will see them take part in a series of self-development workshops, trips, and partner sessions all structured to equip your child with the STEM skills, knowledge, and network to succeed as they continue to develop on both their academic and professional journeys. The focus of Empower is to provide youth with experiential STEM opportunities. Youth will explore various post-secondary education options and discover multiple and diverse career paths.
Eligibility: YOUTH STARTING GRADES 8 to 10 THIS SEPTEMBER, identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or racialized. Priority will be given to Black youth and returning participants.
Duration: The program will run for 6 weeks starting on July 8 and ending on August 16. Sessions will be held at a central location near our main office (71 Regent Park Blvd) but trips will be held at different partner locations around the city.
Location: Daniels Spectrum - 1st Floor (585 Dundas St. E)
