1. ALL yearlings MUST be microchipped by all regulations of Standardbred Canada.
2. Registration Papers (or proof of electronic registration) and a signed transfer MUST be in the Sales Office by 10 am on sale day.
3. Minimum Bid/Opening Bid is set at $1000; any bid lower will NOT be accepted.
4. ASHA SALES COMMISSION: $100.00 or 5% whichever is greater plus GST.
5. WITHDRAWAL POLICY: The consignor agrees that their yearling entry (entries), from the date of entry payment receipt, June 1, 2024, up to the date of the sale, withdrawals from the sale are subject to a $500 penalty without a veterinarian certificate, payable immediately to the A.S.H.A. After the yearling has arrived on the sale grounds, (by 9am on sale day) they may only be withdrawn from the sale with a certificate issued by the A.S.H.A. assigned veterinarian and a penalty of $1500.00 may be applied and payable immediately.
6. RESERVE BID PROCEDURE: Consignors should familiarize themselves with this selling option. A consignor has the right to place a reserve bid inthe consigned yearling. The reserve must be in and accepted by the ASHA Sales Representative Colleen Haining prior to the Yearling being called to the walking ring. Commission will be charged on the amount of the reserve bid. Once the reserve amount is achieved and approved by the auctioneer, the consignor may not continue to bid on the yearling.
7. GST on commission will NOT be paid to consignors who do not provide a GST number.
8. COGGINS: All yearlings entered in the sale are required to have a current (within six (6) months of the sale date) negative Coggins test. Due to racetrack rules/procedures, any yearling arriving at the 2024 ASHA Yearling Sale, may be turned away and not permitted access to the property. This would result in the immediate withdrawal of the yearling and penalties including but not limited to the WITHDRAWAL POLICY will be applied (see5)
*NOTE - Signed entry form and PAYMENT must be received by Close of Business June 1, 2024. Any entry received without payment may not be published to the catalogue. Failure to submit payment WILL result in removal of entry from sale.
