Glitterati Responsibilities
These responsibilities may change as the event needs change.
Glitterati can attend the event they will be volunteering at for free (including a COVID-19 Rapid Test), or they can choose to pay and the cost of their ticket will be added to our Glitterfund, which helps support our pay-what-you-can tickets.
- Glitterati Should:
- Show up an hour and 15 minutes early to help with set-up, and to allow for COVID testing. For an event where doors open at 7:30pm, Glitterati are expected by 6:15pm
- Glitterati who are unable to be on time repeatedly, may not be invited to return as volunteers.
- Glitterati Setup and Teardown Expectations include:
- Setup may also include lifting/moving furniture, setting up an outdoor tent, etc.
- Arrive before the time the doors open for guests.
- Chat with attendees, and help them to feel welcomed to the event.
- Expect to be at the venue until after 2am to assist with tear-down (This may also include lifting/moving furniture)
- Expect "standard" tear-down tasks (refilling safer sex bins, emptying trash, wiping down and moving furniture/mats).
- During the hour between when the doors open and the Welcome Circle, Glitterati are responsible for the following (roles to be divide among all Glitterati):
- Check guests in at the door, check ID’s and Vaccine cards, and make sure everyone has signed a liability waiver.
- Assist with COVID-19 testing and verification.
- Assist with Bingo
- Engage with Glittergasm guests during the event, especially new attendees who might not know anyone yet.
- Glitterati are our event go-to people. You can be interrupted, even during play, at any point during the event if someone requires assistance.
- Glitterati will be expected to do a few laps to check on things between 11pm-2am (you can play, just check on things once in a while)
- Glitterati will be expected to wrap up any play by 1:30am in order to start the tear-down process.
- Glitterati are welcome to include their volunteer work on any and all resumes, and utilize Glittergasm Events, LLC as a reference.
This is an unpaid volunteer position at this time, and as such we try to make the workload reasonable. Please let us know if there is something that would require more support to navigate for you!
