Executive Director of Operations
The Executive Director of Operations spearheads the organization's operations and provides guidance and vision for the direction of Project Hastings. The EDO oversees and leads all day-to-day, programmatic and operational aspects of the organization's Executives and Directors and ensures the proper facilitation of tasks in departments. It is imperative to be knowledgeable and stay current on developments in food security and events in the Downtown Eastside and incorporate new approaches as appropriate. The EDO is expected to bear significant experience in non-profit leadership and management and possess outstanding competencies in organization and communication.
Project Management Executive
Managing a sub-team of directors, the Project Management Executive oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of all events (food distributions, clothing drives, fundraisers, special initiative events) and is the primary host at in-person and virtual events. The PME must develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables while coordinating and communicating with all stakeholders -- external partners, donors, and beneficiaries.
Chief of Staff
The Chief of Staff manages all members within the organization by collaborating with the Human Resources Department. Serves as the Principal Chair of the hiring committee, which oversees the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of reserve members, directors, and executive team. The CoS promotes a safe, inclusive, and positive working environment for all members and diffuses any inter-organizational personnel conflicts.
Legal Counsel Executive
The Legal Counsel Executive supports all departments and staff by ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Outside professional legal counsel and advisors support the LCE.
Finance Executive
The Finance Executive works closely with the Project Management Executive and staff to ensure the organization's financial sustainability. The FE is responsible for all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting financial reports to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders. Working with the LCE, the FE manages compliance with all nonprofit financial regulations and laws.
