1. Vaccinations, Flea & Tick Treatments
It is the Owner’s responsibility to ensure their dog is up to date with their vaccinations, flea and tick treatments.
2. Dog Characteristics
The Owner is to make full disclosure of dog characteristics, that may affect walks or any other associated care and activity. This should include but not limited to behavioural or health problems.
3. Equipment
It is up to the Owner to ensure equipment such as leads and toys are sturdy and safe. McGregor's Canines will only take responsibility for equipment that is lost and not broken during the dog walks/training sessions.
4. Loss or Damages
The Owner accepts full liability for any loss or damages caused by their dog/s to the property of McGregor's Canines.
5. Vet Bills
McGregor's Canines will only take responsibility for vet bills or injury caused due to McGregor's Canines negligence.
6. Payment
Lack of payment may result in automatic cancellation of any walks or training session, until payment has been brought up to date. Further action may be taken.
7. Cancellation, Postponing or Reduciton of Services by McGregor's Canines
McGregor's Canines reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reduce a walk or dog training session if it is in the best interest of the dog.
8. In the event of an Emergency
In the event of an emergency McGregor's Canines will make every effort to contact the Owner. We recommend that the Owner provides us with a contact number of a trusted third party should we be unable to make contact with the Owner.
9. 48 hour notice by Owners
Owners must give a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation. If less than 48 hours notice has been provided, the Owner must still pay for the anticipated booked service/s.
10. Planned Time off by McGregor's Canines
McGregor's Canines will give a minimum of 5 working days notice if walks are being cancelled for planned time off. However, this is not applied to unforeseen circumstances.
11. Time Slots
Time slots are an estimate only. Please understand that McGregor's Canines may be a little earlier or later depending on the circumstances.
12. Keys & Confidentiality
McGregor's Canines will not mark keys with anything identifiable that can be traced back to the Owners in case of misplacement.
13. Off Lead Walking
McGregor's Canines will only allow your dogs off lead if you have signed and permitted us to do so. Understand that McGregor's Canines will only be held liable if your dog was to run off due to us letting them off the lead without permission to do so.
14. Dangerous Dog Act
McGregor's Canines are insured to walk dogs on the DDA (Dangerous Dog Act) as long as the owner provides us with a copy of their exemption certificate, proof of public liability insurance, are neutered and have a well fitting muzzle. These dogs can only be walked on a 1:1 basis. Please note that off lead does not apply to dogs on the DDA.
It is to the discretion of McGregor's Canines to accept walking a dog under the DDA. Dogs that fall into the DDA are not allowed to participate in training services or social dog activity/play.
15. Insurance
McGregor's Canines is insured through Simply Business for Public Indemnity and Personal Injury.
16. Photography
Photos or videos may be taken during the course of the service being carried out which may be used for promotional and training requirements.
17. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
18. Contact Information
We require as many details as possible to be filled out regarding your dog. We will use this information if an emergency arises.
