• Hiring: Social Media Editor (Short-Form) for Michael Ligier

  • We are looking to hire a Social Media Editor to handle all of Michael Ligier's vertical short-form content content for his primary channels: Instagram, Youtube, and Tiktok. This role will handle all post-production work for these videos.

    Michael Ligier is one of the largest food and restaurant creators in the world amassing 4.5 million followers across platforms, is a TasteHunter for the World's 50 Best Restaurants, and has worked with most of the top restaurants around the world as well. He focuses on highlighting the most amazing food whether it's magical scientific creations in his kitchen or going to some of the most exclusive restaurants. 

    Here are his channels: Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok

    This is a fully remote role with the opportunity for a hybrid role in San Francisco if applicable. It's also open on a part-time, full-time, or project basis.

    Note: You must be based in the US for this role, even though it is a remote role. We will not be considering any applicants outside of the US unfortunately.

  • Who We're Looking For

    We're looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Editor to handle all post-production work needed on all of Michael Ligier's short-form media content (30-90 seconds). The goal is to create some of the most beautiful, awe-inspiring, and viral food videos on the internet so your primary reponsibility will be to create engaging videos from raw footage based on concepts, scripts, and brand guidelines.

    The ideal person for this role is someone with a strong understanding of editing techniques and video production/post production. It's also someone who follows social media and pop culture trends and can translate their learnings into these videos. Bonus if you've already created food/restaurant videos before and/or have a passion for working in the food space!

  • What You Bring to the Team

    • 2+ years of experience in video editing for social media (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or other relevant platforms)
    • Expertise with Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop (and understands how to work with LOG footage when needed)
    • Deep understanding of the mechanics behind viral short-form content (hooks, retention, storytelling, pacing etc)
    • Passion for pop culture and knowledge of the latest social media trends (particularly on vertical platforms)
    • Top-notch organizational skills and a strong ability to multitask
    • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and bring new creative ideas to the table
    • Bonus: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in fields related to film studies or video production
