General Show Rules/Information:
The BDGA Nuts About Mini's Show is dual sanctioned by The Miniature Dairy Goat Association and The Miniature Goat Registry. The Minature Dairy Goat Association rules will govern the Nuts About Mini's Show. Junior and Senior Does are Combined Sanctioned and there are NO Buck classes this year.
BASE DATE: The date for determining age classes is June 8, 2024
SHOWMANSHIP: Open to all ages. Will be held Friday 6/7/24 at
SHOW TIMES: Mini show will begin promptly at 0800 before the ADGA show. This start time will depend on number of entries and may not start until the afternoon. Please monitor your udders and relieve udders as needed to prevent over-uddering.
Both the ADGA and Minature Dairy Goat shows will use the same judges. The judges will rotate to the different rings.
The original registration Certificate is required for all animals over 6 months of age. A stamped duplicate or original registration certificate is acceptable for goats under 6 months of age, good for only 30 days past issue. These certificates MUST be shown to the show committee at check in prior to the show.
CHECK-IN: Exhibitors are encouraged to check in Friday afternoon, June 7, 2024. Check in will begin at 12:00 and close at 8:00pm. Check-in will reopen at 6:00am on Saturday and close at 7:30am the day of the show. ALL ANIMALS must be checked in no later than 7:30am the day of the show. Late check-in will be at the discretion of the show committee; only unforeseen circumstances will be considered.
NO TATTOOING ALLOWED ON SHOW DAY.
PRE-SHOW MILK OUT: none will be required. Be fair to your does-AVOID OVER UDDERING.
ENTRY FEES: $8.00 per show per doe. Payment must accompany entry form.
NO REFUNDS: animal substitutions permitted with notification prior to show.
HEALTH CHECK: it is the responsibility of each exhibitor to know the requirements of transporting animals into and within the state Montana. Health papers are not required by our show. Exhibitors will be asked to remove any animal that has been found to be ill and/or contagious. Disputes will be resolved by a licensed veterinarian at the exhibitor's expense.
PENS: pens are avaiablae and will be assigned on a first paid, first arrived basis. Cost per pen is $8. This includes the cost of the shavings and the donation to the Bitterroot Saddlebusters 4H Club cleaning the pen.
CAMPING/PARKING: Parking in designated areas only. Overnight camping is available on the fairgrounds in designated areas. Camping outside of those areas is prohibited. Camping and RV sites must be reserved through the Ravalli County Fairgrounds. Restrooms are available. There are no showers at this location.
DOGS: no dogs will be allowed in the barns or show area. If you need to bring your dog, please respect the concerns of others and keep them penned or enclosed away from the barn. Dog waste must be cleaned up immediately.
LODGING, FOOD & GROCERIES: There are numerous hotels, restaurants and a grocery store located near the fairgrounds.
CONDUCT: Any exhibitor behaving in an ill-mannered way toward their animals, other exhibitors, the judges, the show committee or show volunteers will be asked to leave by the show committee with no entries being refunded.
LIABILITY: BDGA, ADGA, MDGA, TMGR, the show committee, show volunteers and/or the Ravalli County Fairgrounds will not be held liable or responsible for any damage, loss, injury or illness to persons, animals or property in connection with this show.
