Becoming a Youth Volunteer
Youth volunteers, volunteers between the ages of 14-17, must submit an online volunteer registration form below, complete an orientation, and share a completed Minor Consent Waiver prior to volunteering. The Minor Consent Waiver can be shared either in person or electronically by emailing volunteer@gggp.org.
Additional Youth Volunteer Requirements
In addition to completing the requirements listed above, youth volunteers who are 14 years old should anticipate bringing a parent or guardian to their volunteer assignments.
Volunteer Registration and Onboarding Steps
1) Complete this form as the first step in registering as a volunteer. To submit this form, you will also need to read the Volunteer Handbook and agree to the Volunteer Handbook waiver which is linked below. You may want to review this prior to completing the form to ensure you do not run into any technical difficulties.
2) Once you submit your volunteer registration form, you should receive an automated email confirming receipt of your form and detailing the next step, completing an online orientation.
3) Review the online orientation and complete the included form to share that you have completed this step.
4) Within one week of completing your orientation, you should receive a link to your unique Volunteer Portal so that you may begin registering for volunteer assignments.
If you do not receive your automated messages or lose track of where you are at in the process, please contact us at volunteer@gggp.org.
Please note that specific volunteer assignments may require additional training. We strive to offer many options as starting points to volunteering though and hope you'll be able to begin volunteering within a month of your anticipated start date.
