  • Welcome to our C Care family! We are excited to have you join us as a volunteer and look forward to working together. To help us find the best role for you, please fill in the form below. 

    To become a volunteer, you will need to complete the following steps:

    • Induction
    • Police Check
    • Food Safety Assessment
    • For certain roles, a short interview and an additional training session will be required.

    We welcome volunteers who are 18 years or older to join this opportunity. Children aged 8 and above are also welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times while volunteering. Please note, there are specific time slots suitable for children, and the details will be provided once you complete an induction with us.

  • Volunteer roles at C Care

    • Food Packing: Involves assembling food packages that include cooked meals and groceries. Volunteers work in a team to ensure packages meet the needs of recipients.
    • Food Preparation: Involves cutting and preparing fruits and vegetables, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking and meal assembly. This role is crucial for maintaining efficiency and quality in the kitchen.
    • Delivery: Volunteers deliver food packages to recipients' homes. This role requires having a car and a commitment to punctuality and kindness during deliveries.
    • Dispatch: Volunteers organise and coordinate the distribution of packed food, ensuring efficient and timely delivery. You will be the welcome face for our recipients and help them receive their order. 
    • Market Stalls: Volunteers help operate market stalls that provide fresh produce to the community. This includes setting up, assisting customers, and managing inventory.
    • Community Club (Home Visitor) - Requires one on one interview: Volunteers visit individuals, the elderly or those with limited mobility, providing social interaction and sharing a cuppa with them. 
    • Community Club (Delivery Driver) - Requires one on one interview: Volunteers will deliver a meal to a client and stay to have a chat with them. 
    • Cooking: Volunteers prepare nutritious meals in a community kitchen alongside our Chef. This role requires basic cooking skills and a focus on food safety.
    • Van Driver: Pick up food from different locations and driving them back to our hub. Driving to the stalls with our staff to deliver weekly meals.
