CalBPS Peer Learning Collaborative

Together as a regional community, we hope to mobilize efforts to equitably plan for and implement building decarbonization and building performance standards. We have distilled the Collaborative into five (5) different “tracks” to foster deeper conversations within the themes of policy, building technical, community, workforce development, and finance. We welcome recommendations on stakeholders you know that might be beneficial to bring into these conversations. Track Themes within CalBPS Peer Learning Collaborative:

Building Technical: This track focuses on the scientific, engineering, and technological expertise required to understand and implement strategies for building decarbonization.

Policy: This track refers to the regulatory frameworks, laws, and governmental initiatives designed to promote building decarbonization and improve building performance standards.

Finance: This track encompasses the funding mechanisms and financial resources necessary to support the implementation of building decarbonization policies and standards.

Community: This track holds discussion on fostering collaboration, communication, and participation among diverse stakeholders, including residents, businesses, community organizations, tenants rights advocacy groups, and local leaders, in the development and implementation of building decarbonization policies and standards.

Workforce Development: This track focuses on building the skills, knowledge, and capacity of training, education and placement programming involved in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of buildings to support decarbonization goals.
