No Ordinary Hero: The SuperDeafy Movie
Follows Tony Kane, a deaf actor who plays a superhero named SuperDeafy on a children’s TV show. When he meets Jacob, a young deaf boy struggling to fit in at his mainstream school, both learn valuable lessons about identity, self-acceptance, and the importance of communication through sign language. The film highlights Deaf culture and challenges society’s ideas of what it means to be “normal.” Snacks, drinks, and closed captioning provided.
