  • 2024 Annual Membership Application

NC-CURE (NC Citizens United for Restorative Effectiveness) is a grassroots prison reform and advocacy organization. Its members are people incarcerated, their family members, and supporters across the state. We advocate for incarcerated individuals when we can. As we identify issues that stand in the way of the humane treatment of incarcerated men and women, we collaborate with prison officials, other advocacy groups and state leaders to make improvements. We work to bring awareness to issues that adversely impact prison safety, public safety and recidivism. We believe that those incarcerated should receive all the resources they need to be treated humanely while incarcerated, and to turn their lives around to become productive members of society.

NC-CURE is membership driven and operated by volunteer staff. Annual membership dues help to offset the high cost of publishing and distributing On The Wire (OTW) and providing advocacy. The newsletter provides articles of hope and encouragement, news and resources members need to better understand the criminal justice system.

If you would like to receive On The Wire by mail or email, please complete the form below, and mail it to NC-CURE, P.O. Box 358, Patterson, NC 28661. Make checks or money orders payable to NC-CURE.
