Vet Cookbook II – Recipe Submission

  • The theme of the second Vet Cookbook is celebration/veterinary euphoria. We want to hear about the moments of joy, hard won or otherwise. Thank you for being part of this exciting initiative!

Note: if the editors have any queries, they will get back to you.

File types: Send your recipe in a WORD document or Notepad document that contains no formatting – the designer will look after that. Please do NOT embed your images in the recipe document. The images should be uploaded as separate high-resolution files in the upload facility provided.

  • Recipe guidelines

  • You can upload your recipe or article in the following field. Please follow these instructions when putting recipes together.

    Ingredients:

Please be specific e.g. cite the size of a tin of tomatoes. You may also want to list possible substitutions for ingredients that can be swapped.

Use Australian Standard measurements – if in doubt, this is a great reference https://recipeland.com/how-to/australian-cooking-measurements-142

  • How to provide high resolution images for print

Ideally, images should be 300 DPI and be a large file size (e.g. over 2MB or 2000KB). Please submit as JPEG, PNG or TIFF files. If photographing with your phone, ensure ‘LIVE’ mode is turned off. The best quality image is usually the ORIGINAL file e.g. the image that you initially downloaded from your camera. When images are re-saved, they often are reduced in quality. To find out how big an image is, use your right-click and open ‘properties’ to see the file size (PC only).
