Welcome to City Allies, an ethnographic project founded and led by Sarah Jo Loveday, designed to explore the heartbeat of the City of London by uncovering the unique stories that define its essence. You are about to complete a consent form following Sarah Jo’s personal invitation to share your story as part of City People Tales: Chronicles of Urban Life, 2024 Edition. This initiative, nestled under the broad wings of City Allies, is not sponsored by any organisation; it springs from her desire to shine a light on the vibrant mix of individuals who make this place buzz with life — people like you, who live and/or work here, shaping its identity every day. It's important to note that although this initiative is not driven by an organisation but is a personal venture undertaken by Sarah Jo herself, a privacy notice or consent form is not legally required. Despite this, Sarah Jo takes your express consent, privacy, and the protection of your personal data very seriously.

Before you proceed, I would like your consent to collect, process, and publish specific personal data as outlined below.

  Purpose of collection:
  The data collected will be used solely for the purpose of publishing your contribution in the "City People Tales: Chronicles of Urban Life," both in its printed 2024 Edition and online versions. Your name, headshot, and place of work will be featured alongside your story to authenticate and enrich the reader's experience.
  
  Duration of consent:
  Your consent is valid until the "City People Tales: Chronicles of Urban Life," 2024 Edition, goes to print for the printed version. For the online version, your consent remains valid indefinitely; however, you have the option to retract your consent at any time as detailed below.
  
  Right to retract consent:
  You have the right to retract your consent at any point before the "City People Tales: Chronicles of Urban Life," 2024 Edition, is printed for the printed version. 1st June 2024. For the online version, you can retract your consent at any time. To do so, please send an email to cityallies@gmail.com with your name and headshot, and specify your request to retract your consent for the use of your personal data.
