Rides with Love LLC provides transportation for juniors and seniors on the Southside Jacksonville, FL.
Our mission is to enhance the lives of children and senior citizens by providing a safe, clean, and loving ride to and from their destination. We aim for safety, love and exceptional customer satisfaction. With so many inspirations including family members and friends, Rides with Love, LLC hopes to bring comfort and meet the needs of our Jacksonville Community.

PURPOSE:
The purpose of this policy is to ensure the safety, well-being and dignity of persons served and person providing transportation services including the provisions for handling emergency situations.
POLICY:
When transportation is the responsibility of Rides with Love, LLC chauffeurs will assist in transporting, handling, and transferring persons served in a safe manner with love and according to our policies and procedures.
PROCEDURES:
Chauffeurs Onboarding and Training Requirements:
Upon employment, chauffeurs are informed of the requirement that they must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record. Drivers will need to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and will be subject to random drug and alcohol screenings throughout the year.
Chauffeurs will also be required to complete additional training on safe transportation procedures during each year.
Chauffeurs are prohibited by state law (FL to compose, send, or receive an electronic message while operating a motor vehicle. This includes any program software offered by Rides with Love, LLC.
An electronic message (as defined by state law) means a self-contained piece of digital communication that is designed or intended to be transmitted between physical devices.
Chauffeurs Loading/ Unloading
The chauffeur will receive training on each person’s transferring or handling requirements for the person and/or equipment prior to transferring or transporting persons. All transfers and handling of persons served will be done in a manner that ensures their dignity and privacy. Any concerns regarding transportation, transfers, and handling will be promptly communicated to the Designated Manager or Designated Team Lead who will address these concerns.
When equipment used by a person served is needed, chauffeurs will place the equipment in a safe location in the vehicle such as the trunk of a car. If a program vehicle does not have a designated storage space such as a trunk, staff will place the equipment in an area of the vehicle and secure it, when possible, so that there is limited to no shifting during transport.
Chauffeurs Arrival/Departure:
Rides with Love, LLC will arrive at your destination on time. If we are running late, we will provide you with a phone call 15 minutes prior to our pick up. When we arrive, we will notify you via phone or text. We will be wearing our company T-shirt with the logo. We will exit the vehicle and introduce ourselves to you as your chauffeur. If we arrive and contact, you and receive no response within 3 minutes. We will cancel the ride. Refunds are not awarded.
Fee Structure:
Our fees are calculated with many factors including paying our chauffeurs for their time, distance of your location and a few other factors. To ensure we maintain our cost half of your travel fees are due at the time you complete your registration form. The remaining will be due once you are picked up for your travel. You do have the option of paying up front if you would like, please note if you cancel, refunds are NOT awarded.
Cancellation:
If you need to cancel your ride for any reason within 48 hours there will not be a cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 48 hours for any reason a $25 cancellation fee is assessed. Please note failure to pay fees may result in restriction from using our services as well as risk incurring court fees.
Health and Safety:
Chauffeurs will wear a face mask during each travel. We encourage passengers to wear a face mask as well to assist with keeping all people safe. We require you to inform your chauffeur 24-48 hours prior to your ride, if you have any symptoms related to COVID-19, Influenza Virus, or any other transmittable illnesses.
Chauffeurs will disinfect vans daily with cleaning materials and hand sanitizer upon request. We will also remained stocked with paper products ( paper towels, Kleenex) in the event an emergency occurs.
In the event our chauffeur becomes ill or is unavailable we will connect with a partnered transportation agency to secure your ride, reschedule your ride if your schedule permits a refund of your ride. (These options are at the discretion of the Designated Manager or Team Lead.
Vehicle UpKeep:
The Designated Manager or Designated Team Lead will ensure the safety of vehicles, equipment, supplies, insurance and materials owned or leased by the company and will maintain these in good condition and applicable to FL state laws. Standard practices for vehicle, equipment, supplies, and materials maintenance and inspection will be followed.
Vehicles will be internally and externally cleaned weekly and serviced according to the vehicle’s manual.
Passengers are only permitted to have bottled water while in our vehicles. Any food items are prohibited.
Passenger Belongings:
Rides with Love, LLC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We will keep a lost and found container in our vehicles in the event an item is left behind. We will hold this item for 24- 48 hours.
Passenger Safety:
When dropping off persons served at a site which requires a change in chauffeur, transporting chauffeur will ensure that staff or another responsible party are present before leaving the person served unless otherwise specified in the Rides with Love, LLC policies and procedures. Any necessary information will be presented to the staff or other responsible party. In accordance with state laws, anyone riding in a moving vehicle must wear seatbelts and/or child safety restraints.
Only people that have paid and signed up through our website to receive services will be permitted to ride. Passengers are not permitted to add additional persons to our vehicles without the Designated Manager or Team Lead.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied to the vehicle by adults age 18 or older. When dropping off a child under the age of 12 adults must be present over the age of 18 years old. A signature form will be required to sign prior to picking up and when dropping off children.
Professionalism:
Chauffeurs will treat all passengers with truth, honesty, fairness, dignity, love and respect. The use of foul language, physical contact, aggressive language, flashing or use of weapons, refusing to wear seatbelt restraints, threats, yelling, stalking, any unkind acts of violence will NOT be tolerated. You will be asked to vacate our vehicle in which we will have the Jacksonville Sheriff Office assist us in this manner.
Anti-Harassment/Sexual Policy:
Rides with Love, LLC has a zero tolerance for harassment based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, or protected activity. We do not permit inappropriate touching, text messaging of explicit photos or messages. Showing inappropriate photos that may elude sex. Commenting on passengers’ attire, physical attributes.
Grievance Policy:

Surveillance:
Rides with Love, LLC does monitor our chauffeurs and passengers to ensure each ride is safe and all procedures and policies are followed. Recording footage is only available for viewing by our Designated Managers.
Inclement Weather:
On days when there might be severe weather, it is important for all chauffeurs to be alert and aware of the possible weather forecast. With today’s technology it is possible to be aware of circumstances where we may need to alter our schedule to wait out storms. All chauffeurs will remain alert to changing weather conditions. Severe weather alerts may be issued such as Severe Thunderstorm watches or warnings or Tornado watches or warnings, in addition, Hurricanes.
A watch indicates that severe weather or tornadoes are possible in that area. A warning means that severe weather (such as heavy rain, hail or damaging winds) or tornadoes have been detected or seen in the area where the warning is issued. If there is severe weather imminently approaching our area, staff may plan to delay loading vehicles until the severe threat passes.
Chauffeurs follow agency protocol regarding where to seek shelter safely in the building. If a vehicle is in route when severe weather approaches, chauffeurs will need to find the safest shelter possible. Examples would be; a sturdy building or a person’s home for all passengers to seek cover in. Avoid windows, doors and outside walls, go to the lowest floor of the building when possible.
If no suitable structure is nearby, lie flat, face down, in the nearest ditch or depression and use your hands to cover your head to protect against flying debris.
In the event, we must stop all transportation due to inclement weather, your traveled will be rescheduled. Refunds will not be awarded.
Holiday Closures
Rides with Love, LLC will post a closure calendar on our website to assist all travelers when planning their travel needs.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES
If there is an emergency while driving, chauffeurs follow emergency response procedures to ensure the person(s) safety. This will include pulling the vehicle over and stopping in a safe area as quickly and as safely as possible.
Chauffeurs will use a cell phone or any available community resource to contact “911” for help if needed. If a medical emergency were to occur, chauffeurs would call “911” and follow first aid and/or CPR protocols according to their training.
Rides with Love, LLC are equipped with cell phones, fire extinguishers and first aid kits. In the event of a motor vehicle accident, the driver will attempt to get the vehicle to a safe location.
If possible, a quick sweep of participants should be taken to determine if there are any injuries. 911 should be called in any motor vehicular accident, no matter how minor. It is necessary that a police report be filed for every accident.
Insurance cards are kept on each vehicle, usually behind the visor. If assistance is needed, the Chauffeur can call Rides with Love, LLC and additional staff will come out to the accident site. A motor vehicle accident report is kept on every vehicle. This will be completed when it is safe to do so and will be submitted to our insurance company within twenty-four hours.
