PROVINCIAL CANADA WEST
ENTRY FORM
** DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS MAY 10 **
Entry forms, and choral recordings must be received, with payment, by midnight May 10. The non-refundable entry fee is $100 per class. Please supply complete and accurate information.
Before beginning to fill out this form, please have all of the following information and be prepared to make payment, as you won't be able to save an incomplete form and return later to complete it.
- The Provincial Canada West class number and name from which you advanced from your district festival.
- Complete repertoire information.
- Accompanist name (if applicable).
Choral Class Requirements
- Choirs advancing must submit AUDIO recordings in MP3/MP4/MP4a format (.wav files are not accepted) for adjudication. Recordings may be done during the District Festival performance or any time before the entry deadline. Recordings must be done with the same choir, conductor, and accompanist as in the original performance. The first take must be used. A festival official must supervise and witness the recording.
- High quality recordings must be submitted. No acoustic or electronic compensation, filtering or other enhancement is to be used while recording. Recordings and scores should contain no reference to the name of the choir, its conductor, or the festival from which they have been sent. Recordings must be checked for completeness.
- In the event that a recording made during the scheduled performance is blank or seriously compromised, a substitute recording may be made under the conditions outlined above.
- A complete music score for each selection, containing choral parts and accompaniment, in the correct key, must be scanned and uploaded with your entry. The first measure of each line in the score must be numbered.
Payments are made through Paypal, with the option to use a credit or debit card. NOTE: if you are representing more than one district festival, you must fill out a separate entry form for each festival.
