By signing the application, you acknowledge and confirm that all information provided is accurate and valid. You further declare that you are the rightful resident, homeowner, or business owner, or have explicit authorization to make modifications to the property. You affirm that your property is located within the City of San José. Additionally, you assert that you have acquired new camera video equipment for installation on the exterior of the property. Cameras must be registered with the City’s Police Departments Camera Archive & Mapping (CAM) program within 30 days of submitted Rebate Incentive Application.
The applicant understands that rebate will be issued within two weeks of submitted complete approved application. The rebate will be in form of a check that will be picked up in person at designated location. The rebate amount will cover the cost of the camera only up to $350 [based on actual cost of the camera(s)] per address. Rebate is exclusively for the cost of the camera(s) including any applicable tax. Rebate amounts will not include the cost of the camera installation, and additional storage, accessories, or any cameras that are purchased but not installed on the exterior of the property. The camera(s) was purchased and installed after July of 2022, Proof of purchase will be required through itemized receipt. (if camera system was purchased on an installment plan, the resident must submit application when it is paid in full.)
Applications will be processed in the order they are received, following a first-come, first-served approach. Please note that approval and issuance of a rebate are not guaranteed and are contingent upon the availability of program funding. Additionally, each application will undergo a review process to ensure compliance with program guidelines before any reimbursement is issued.
