UMBA Bright Stars is a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization serving children and families in East Charlotte. Our Mission is to bring equity in academic achievement to “One” Bright Star Scholar at a time through Excellence in After School and Summer Programs, K-5. Our goal is to help eliminate the achievement gap that exists in the schools we serve.This fundraiser is being held to promote our after-school program and to raise funds that will be used to help subsidize the cost of our summer camp. Research confirms that parents would send their children to quality summer programs if they were a[ordable. We want to make our summer camp a[ordable to children attending Title I schools, (zip code 28215) and performing below grade level in reading and mathematics. Your investment of $50.00 as a vendor will help make this a reality for our children and will also provide you the opportunity to promote your business in sales.
