Thank you for your interest in adopting from us! We are a 501(c)(3) animal rescue/shelter servicing the Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro (SAW) region of Virginia. We focus our effort on older animals, sick animals, animals with behavioral issues that would not otherwise survive in a traditional shelter environment, pregnant/nursing and/or feral cats; but will take in any animal requiring assistance. Our mission is to place all of our animals in loving PERMANENT homes! :) You are NOT purchasing a pet from us. You ARE adopting a living, breathing, creature that deserves safety, love, and care. Your answers to this questionnaire serve as assurance to us that the cats we care so very much for are going to their loving forever homes.
  • All of the information collected on this form is 100% confidential. We do NOT use a first-come, first-serve process when adopting out animals. Instead, we focus on best fit for each individual animal This process is intended to ensure a long-term, successful adoption for both the family and pet.

Cats and dogs can live for 15-20 years, so please make sure your lifestyle allows the time, patience, and ability to cover expenses your new pet will need over the years. Responsible pet ownership includes as-needed and routine veterinary care, quality food, preventatives, and other supplies. Will you be traveling frequently, moving soon, and/or having children in the future? Please take ALL factors into account before committing to any new pet. REMEMBER: Our pets may only be around for part of our lives, but to them, we are their entire lives. <3

You must be at least 18 years old to adopt. All of the cats and kittens available for adoption from us are fully vetted, which includes: a complete veterinarian checkup, FIV/FeLV testing, spay/neuter deworming, flea treatment, FVRCP and rabies vaccines. At times, these cats may require dental work, surgeries, or other health-related attention, which we will also completely take care of prior to adoption.

Dogs are spayed/neutered, distemper, Lyme, lepto, bordetella, and rabies vaccinated. They will have a heartworm and Lyme test. They will have heartworm medication and flea and tick medications monthly. Any other necessary medical needs will be done as they come up prior to adoption.

Unless otherwise stated, our inclusive adoption fees are $100 for kittens (aged less than 1 year) and $75 for adult cats. Dog fees please inquire to us.
