Welcome to the Family Texas Charger's Registration. This section is for families; (person with CHARGE, parents/guardians of individual with CHARGE, siblings to person with CHARGE, and one Nurse/Attendant.)

We ask that grandparents, Aunts & Uncles register separately from the family by clicking on the Grandparent/A&U Registration link on the Texas Chargers' Registration and News Tab.  

Please note- Fees are paid at the end of the application with the QR code if paying by card or cash, otherwise please check the appropriate box for payment. 

Texas Family: $250.00 per family (person with CHARGE, parents/guardan of person with CHARGE, siblings, and one attendant) which includes lodging for both nights and six meals.

Other Guest: This includes additional family members that are not included ie. aunts, uncles, and grandparents. 

Other Adults Guest: $250 per person, which includes lodging for both nights and six meals.

Other Children Guest (12 and younger): $150 per person, which includes lodging for both nights and six meals. 

Day Guest: $100 per person, includes lunch. (This is for guest not included in Texas Family Registration that plan to attend just for a day.)

Out of State Registration: $300 per person, which includes lodging for both nights and six meals. $200 per child under the age of 12 and younger, which includes lodging for both nights and six meals. 

Please note that if your family needs assistance with the registration fee please contact your individual with charge school district, local community organizations, or go to the www.thetexaschargers.org events tab and complete the scholarship form.

The phrase Scheduled Activities refers to any individual with CHARGE for any age and siblings age 0-17. In some cases, if volunteers are not available, an attendant may be required in order to participate in some activities. We highly recommend bringing your attendant with your family. 

Every Child attending the Texas Chargers Retreat will be placed into the scheduled activities area based on age and need. 

The following information will help us better prepare for your indiviual with CHARGE syndrome.

Camp Allen's hotel rooms have two double beds in each room; TV's nor refrigerators are provided in the hotel rooms. Some hotel rooms do have a refridgerator and if one is needed please include that on your registration.

Should you desire you are welcome to bring a small TV/DVD player, make sure you bring your DVD's. There is a TV Lounge located in the Richardson Wing which has satallite. Please note this is a common area for all Camp Allen Guest. Children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

Camp Allen does offer complimentary high speed internet and additional speeds can be purchased if necessary.

We host a silent auction Saturday and really count on the extra funds to support the Texas Chargers Retreat. We encourage all to bring donations and ask business and other families and friends to donate something for the auction. It can be big like a vacation home for a week or small examples would be jewelry, toys, clothing etc. All we ask is when you arrive you bring your items to the registration table and fill out a form with a starting bid. Thank you so much for considering participating in the silent auction. 

We are inviting individuals with CHARGE to enter a special exhibit of art which will be hung at the Texas Chargers Annual Retreat.  We will have a special area set aside for exhibit space, and each participant will receive a ribbon for participation.  We want to encourage teachers, families and students to celebrate the joy of creativity and share their creations with others.  Remember all art entries must be from individuals with CHARGE syndrome. 

This is to release and indemnify The Texas Chargers, Inc. from any liability to any party during your stay at Camp Allen. The Texas Chargers, Inc. requirements is that you/your family, guests, attendants, or any other person for whom you are acting as guardian or represenative, will assume full responosibility for anyone brought onto the premises for any damage or injury of any nature whatever that may incur to themselves, property, and Camp Allen property while on premises, and that you assume that your insurance coverage will extend to any such injury or damage.

I herby give The Texas Chargers, Inc. the right to photograph, video tape, and sound recored the acts, appearances, utterances of me/my son/my daughter/my ward/or any member in connection there with and without limits as to time, to produce and reproduce the same or any purpose which, The Texas Chargers, Inc. deem proper in the interest of internet, newspapers, television media, brochures, pamphlets, instructional material, books and clinical material, medical education, knoweldge, or research. All such photographs, teletapes, films and sound recordings shall be the exclusive property of The Texas Chargers, Inc. and I herby relinquish all rights, title and interests therein.

With respect to the foregoing matters, no inducements or permissions have been made to us/me to secure our/my signature(s) to release other than interntion of The Texas Chargers, Inc. to use or cause to be used such as photographs, films ans pictures for primary purposes of promoting and aiding The Texas Chargers, Inc. and its works. (its works include but not limited to providing photographs, films, pictures, or recordings to grant funders or other marketing needs)

Further, I understand and agree that photos, videos tapes, or recordings of any nature maybe use by the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired for creating marketing materials and other needs as deemed appropriate by the Texas Charge Board Directors.

All Blind Children of Texas (ABCTX) supports programs for students with visual
impairments that have been designed and implemented by a Teacher of Students
with Visual Impairments (TSVI) or Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist
(COMS), working with the student. ABCTX wishes to publish photos, recordings, or
videos of these activities on the organization’s website.
I hereby authorize All Blind Children of Texas to publish the photographs, audio or
video recordings taken of my child for use in printed publications and on our
official website (http://www.abctx.org/).
