The Story Behind The Designs
"Things Aren't Going As Planned" - Okay, picture this: You wake up, ready to tackle the day, but your body's like, 'Hold up, we've got other plans.' Living with a chronic illness is like being on a rollercoaster you didnt sign up for. But I'm learning how to roll with the punches and embrace the chaos. I knew I would need something to wear during treatment that would remind me that not everything is going to go my way, but I can always adapt and overcome.
"Yay! I'm A Llama Again" - You know the scene in 'Emperor's New Groove' where Kuzco, the emperors turned llama, is desparately trying to turn back into a human? (If you've never watch that movie, you have been severely deprived.) He goes through this hilarious journey, drinking all sorts of potions, turning into different animals, but ends up celebrating when he turns back into a llama. Even though the plan was to try and turn him back into a human. Well, my dad and I used to joke about that scene, comparing it to my own battle with chronic illness. When my symptoms were at a manageble baseline (although not 'normal human functioning'), with a twinkle in his eye, he'd poke me in the side and say, "Yay! I'm a llama again!".
"One In A Million" - Imagine being a zebra in a room full of horses. Doctors are always on the lookout for the usual suspects -like horses- but they kind of forget about us rare gems, the zebras. Sometimes its annoying when you know more about your illness than most professionals out there, but such is the life of a medical anomaly.
