Matchmakers Market is back with the Short North Alliance, and we are bringing High Street alive with extra special Gallery Hops in 2024!
In celebration of 40 years of Short North Gallery Hop, Gallery Hop will turn into Open Streets with a new, communal seasonal series called Hops on High. Discover all that the Short North Arts District has to offer as portions of High Street are closed to traffic and made to be enjoyed as the largest pedestrian-only experience in Central Ohio. Each Hops on High event will continue to feature all that is special about the legendary monthly tradition that is the Short North Gallery Hop and will focus on the multidimensional experiences that make the Short North a centralized creative hub with something for everyone in Columbus. In collaboration with Matchmakers Market, vendors will be hand selected to set-up shop down the center of High Street. As part of the June Gallery Hop, Hops on High will kick off Pride Month in the city by showcasing artists and artisans reflective of our diverse community. In September, we will commemorate 40 years of Gallery Hop with retrospectives of the artists and organizations that made this the “Art + Soul of Columbus.” December will feature Holiday Hop, the most artistic holiday destination and artisan gift marketplace in the city. Last year for our 2023 Holiday Hop, we saw over 33,000 visitors! Thank you for your partnership and attendance!
The event will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 12pm-8pm from E. 2nd Ave. to 5th Ave. in the Short North Arts District in Columbus, Ohio.
In the event of severe inclement weather, Hops on High will move to Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 12pm-8pm.
**APPLICATIONS DUE BY WEDNESDAY, MAY 8.** THE INVESTMENT FOR THIS MARKET IS $150 FOR A 10'x10' SPACE.

Load-In/Load-Out
The market will take place from 12pm-8pm. All vendors will be provided an official vendor credential and assigned to a designated loading entrance area. We ask that all vendors have at least two people who attend the event so that one person may accompany vendors’ items at all times and one person may remove vendors' vehicles. We will have volunteers on site to help accommodate load-in, but please keep in mind there will be 100+ vendors and small businesses that will need to set up, and that it is a public street. All cars must be removed from High St. by 11am. Vendors are not permitted to load-out prior to the close of the market at 8pm.
All vendors must be set up and ready for sales by 11:45 a.m. to allow for 15 minutes of marketing and final inspections from the city before guest arrival.
