As well as reading all the text below, to allow safety in your integration process, trauma is very delicate and needs to be treated in a safe container. This is for your safety and precautions.
Whatever comes up from the breakthrough session whether in the session or in the coming days / however long after the journey, any kind of emotional releases, traumas or anything at all, to reach out for SUPPORT when you need it, never hesitate to ask for my help & support during the integration, sometimes it's NEEDED & very important that you reach out for support if you're not sure about anything at all, whether you're feeling confused, destabilized, emotionally paralyzed, depressed, suicidal, angry, violent or ANYTHING! never feel like you're bothering me, because that will never be the case (and no I won't charge you for this extra support, I signed up to this mission, to hold you through whatever comes up)
Also if you ever get to a really unstable point of processing emotions / trauma, or feelings of potentially re-traumatizing yourself. It's important to reach out for support from a therapist / psychologist, someone that is highly qualifed and skilled in understanding trauma on a deeper level. Preparation before our session:
- Don't take any mind altering substances like alcohol / drugs, before and after the session (minimum 3 days before & after / more the better)
- Fast a minimum of 4 hours before (long better, empty stomach is best)
- Prepare for the session, and to have a comfortable place to do it, as some prefer lying down. Whether its on a yoga mat, using a sofa, a cushion, blanket for warmth. It can be more intense for others so best to have a lying area, incase it gets too much. (This is the circular deep breathing)
- Bring pen / paper for taking notes & journaling during the session
- Bring a bottle of water, as will be required in between breathwork. Bring anything else like sage, palo santo, or anything else that resonates
- Bring some kind of container, incase you need to release through some kind of spit / saliva (it can happen often in breathwork)
- Make sure that for our session you have set this in your calender / diary so you will remember and be in a place without distractions from others, so you can be fully present for the session, and good internet connection
- That you must give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. And if you don't show up without a valid reason then another chance won't be given.
- Take into consideration to allow time to integrate after the session and process anything that as come up, instead of going straight back into "doing" mode
Prepare in the days leading up to the session to get more out of the session, with time for self-reflection, self-care, being alone without distractions, in nature, journaling, setting intentions or what practises work best for you.
