What is EKT's therapeutic preschool program?

It is a small, integrated preschool for children ages 2 through 5 with individualized learning/developmental needs or who may not be ready for a traditional learning environment. EKT integrates therapy with learning to help each child reach their maximum potential, and prepare them to be successful in school, home and throughout life. Our program not only aims to prepare children for traditional preschool or kindergarten, it provides children with learning opportunities using a multitude of engaging experiences, including music, exploring nature, sensory rich activities and crafts, and center time, to name a few. Each classroom is limited to a maximum of 5 children in order to provide children with the individualized attention that they need. Children in the program receive therapy services while at school.
Who is it for?

The program is for children ages 2 through 5 with individualized learning/developmental needs or who may not be ready for a traditional learning environment. To participate, children must be identified by a therapist as having a therapeutic need to work on emerging social and school readiness skills. We will provide a complimentary initial screening if they have not already been evaluated by a therapist or referred by another provider/school.
When is it?

EKT's Therapeutic Learning Program is held from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Monday through Friday. Before and aftercare are available on a limited basis. Because this program is designed to be an intensive school-readiness program, 5 day enrollment is highly encouraged.

With small class sizes capped at 5 children, personalized attention is guaranteed, fostering a supportive environment where every child thrives. Our goal is to eventually integrate your child into a more traditional learning environment, and when the time comes we will walk you through that process to set your child and family up for success!

Tuition Fees

There is no financial aid or state childcare support accepted at this time. This is a nontraditional therapeutic learning program that unfortunately does not fit into the framework that the state requires. An extensive market analysis was done of neighboring preschools & daycares in the area, and our tuition fees reflect that.

Weekly invoices for tuition payments are emailed to account holders at the beginning of each week. Weekly tuition payments are due two days later on Wednesdays. A card is required to be kept on file for all families and will be run if payment is not rendered by Friday of each week.

There is a once-annual, non refundable Registration Fee of $150 per child. This fee is not part of the tuition for the coming year. It reserves your child’s spot, helps
purchase their individual supplies, and covers operating costs for the program.
