PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
As part of federal student aid eligibility, all contributors to the FAFSA will be required to consent and approve to the automatic sharing of income and tax information from the IRS to the FAFSA form, even if the attempt to obtain such data is ineffective. In most cases, no further documentation is needed to verify 2022 income information that was transferred to the student’s FAFSA using income and tax information directly from the IRS.
Exceptions: If 2022 income tax return information was not available or could not be used while filing the FAFSA, the student must provide RMU with one of the items listed below for each of the FAFSA contributors who were unable to successfully exchange income information with the IRS.
- A SIGNED copy of your 2022 Federal 1040 Tax Return, with all applicable schedules
- Federal Tax Return Transcript, which can be obtained at IRS.GOV/get-transcript
