Support Member Solidarity Fund Form
  • Support Member Solidarity Fund Application Form

The Support Member Solidarity Micro-fund is designed to empower the SEIZE membership network to enact principles of solidarity and mutual aid through initiatives and activities that support the social solidarity economy.
  • SMSM use case examples:

Example 1:  A SEIZE member would like financial support to host a poetry night as a palentines fundraiser.

Example 2: A SEIZE member would like to give a donation to another Cooperative or NPO to support their campaign, conference or project.

Example 3: Co-organize an event with SEIZE! We love to collaborate with individuals and groups. If you are interested in co-presenting or co-organizing an event with SEIZE, please email info@solidarityeconomy.ca

  • Application process: The SEIZE Board of Directors approves the SMSF applications at each board meeting which occurs approximately every second month. Applications are approved according to their alignment with the SEIZE values, vision and strategic directions.

  • Please note that applications are limited to support members of SEIZE.

SEIZE members have diverse backgrounds and experiences, yet they share common principles and values. By restricting eligibility to support members, SEIZE can more effectively ensure that those benefiting from its limited resources align with the organization's principles and goals.

Support members are organizations or individuals with demonstrated experience actively supporting or participating in the social solidarity economy. This involvement includes dedicating at least 40 hours to activities such as organizing community initiatives, contributing to social solidarity economy project/organization, or launching your own co-op or social enterprises.

Becoming a support member is a straightforward process; individuals and organizations can apply by completing the application form available here!
