Collect walkie talkies from charging station.
Check Porters Logbook for any handovers from the previous porter on duty, or any date-specific requests. Ensure you have an arrivals list, departures list, tee sheets, and Daily Reports Log (where helis and activities are listed) and familiarize yourself with these.
Receive Handover from AM Concierge:
- Late check outs, early arrivals & departures expected.
- Group Arrivals/Departures
- Special arrival requests
- Transfers to and from Helipad
Ensure cushions are placed on outdoor furniture.
Unlock and check the locker rooms, make sure they are tidy.
Clean 2 x North Course Vans & Trailers:
- Ensure the vans are full of petrol and carts are fully charged. If you need to add fuel, ensure you are filling out the fuel logbook.
- Clean the exterior of each van at Maintenance washing station.
- Check inside the vehicles, clean out any rubbish, coffee cups or anything on the floor.
- Vacuum, wipe down dash area and pay special attention to the console area.
- Clean the windows with window cleaner – inside and out.
- Dab any marks on the seat with a damp cloth. If it is a stubborn stain, use spot cleaner.
Ensure a shuttle vehicle is ready at the South Clubhouse Bus Shelter for pick-up from 07:20am.
Locate the Range Staff of the day and go over the tee sheet together. Make note of caddies and any possible pinch points for the shuttle and how you can best handle it.
Sand Blow: Ensure the areas outside the concierge and the golf pro shop are clear from any obstacles, and sweep / leaf blow the outside areas (all around the clubhouse, up to Ric’s, bottom car park, top car park, and member’s car park). Ensure all edges look good and there is no overflow sand, especially in the car parks, or any tire marks on the sand.
09:00-12:00 (Lunch to be taken during this time)
- Driving duties of 15-minute intervals per stop.
- Plan your meal break in-between this time, especially during maintenance periods.
12:00-14:30 - Closing of Shift (driver/porter that started driving at 07:20am)
- Driving duties of 15-minute intervals per stop.
- Check changing rooms - simply do a touch up to any items guests have used or dirtied. Wipe surfaces, empty rubbish & used linen, ensure showers are free of water (wiped down). If the changing rooms need further attention, please contact concierge to ask HSK to assist.

- Jobs that were not completed on their checklist and need to be completed.
- Late check outs, early arrivals & departures expected.
- Group Arrivals/Departures
- Special arrival requests
- Transfers to and from Helipad
Ensure the Concierge golf cart is nice and clean interior and exterior. Take extra care in wiping down the seats and windows and clean out any rubbish. Have a grey towel as well as a green dust towel (from HSK) ready in the cart. If there is time, go through the other golf carts as well.
Clean the exterior and interior of the vans parked by the South Clubhouse.
Sand Blow: Paths leading up to and around South Cottages. Ensure all edges look good and there is no overflow sand.
Sand Blow: Paths leading up to Bunker Bar and Ocean Restaurant. Ensure all edges look good and there is no overflow sand.
Sand Blow: Activity Courts and scrub any spots (e.g. stains or fungus)
Clear pathways from debris and marks. Using a bucket and brush, remove all marks and bird poop from the South Club House Exterior
If it is a rainy day, ensure all vans have towels ready for guest use (grey), liaise with Drivers to ensure the shuttle vans stay topped up. Ensure Housekeeping keep the locker rooms maintained – alert the Duty Manager if not the case.
Throughout the day, be available at the South Clubhouse to:
- Assist with departing guests (individuals and groups).
- Assist the Golf Shop with welcoming any members arriving for the morning Tee Times by helping the team carry golf clubs around to the golf range. Ensure all golfers are offered a hand with the clubs (especially unloading and loading their clubs from their car/vehicle).
- Assist and welcome arrivals.
- Co-ordinate vehicles in the drive through, ensuring that cars are not blocking smooth access.
Throughout the day, check changing rooms - simply do a touch up to any items guests have used or dirtied. Wipe surfaces, empty rubbish & used linen, ensure showers are clean and free of water. If the changing rooms need further attention, please contact concierge to ask HSK to assist.
Throughout the day, check for deliveries at the Maintenance block. Distribute to the various departments.
Closing Shift:
- Ensure all guest-carrying-vehicles are clean and tidy.
- Communicate with the PM driver of any duties still needing to be done.

19:30 – 20:30 Clean interior of all transfer vehicles (carts and vans):
- Vacuum, wipe down dash area and pay special attention to the console area.
- Check inside the cars, clean out any rubbish, coffee cups or anything on the floor.
- Dab any marks on the seat with a damp cloth. If it is a stubborn stain, use spot cleaner.
Check changing rooms - simply do a touch up to any items guests have used or dirtied. Wipe surfaces, empty rubbish & used linen, ensure showers are free of water (wiped down). If the changing rooms need further attention, please contact concierge to ask HSK to assist.
Check the shredder does not need emptying and ensure the bench stays clear of water bottles, dishes, etc.
Empty concierge and back-office bins and bring to maintenance with the changing room towels.
Collect keys of all guest transfer vehicles and give them to Concierge to store away.
Bring outside cushions inside at 8:15pm.
