Acceptance to Event
After the screening, brewers will receive notification of acceptance from Downtown Salisbury, Inc. by Friday, July 26.
Hours of Operation
Brewers agree to remain on-site at Bell Tower Green for the festival between the hours of noon-7:00 p.m. on the day of the event. With the street closure, brewers will not be permitted to exit the event via car until the event is over, the road is opened and brewer load out has started. Early departure will be subject to denial to participate in future events. Brewer will remove all equipment, fixtures, inventory, and other property from the festival site no later than 8 p.m.
Set-Up Operations
Accepted brewers will receive an email before the event with detailed load-in and set-up instructions. Brewer is encouraged to decorate their location in an attractive manner consistent with their brand and the concept of the Festival. All decorations and tenting must be flameproof and pass safety inspection.
General Policies
Failure to abide by all rules and regulations and specific instructions provided will result in forfeiture of acceptance to future events. This includes attitude and demeanor to all BREWFEST staff, directors, agents, employees, and volunteers.
Brewer agrees to conduct its business in a manner likely to enhance the success of BREWFEST and the reputation of Downtown Salisbury, Inc. and the City of Salisbury. Shall the Festival determine that the brewer is acting in a manner detrimental to the event, the Festival may expel the brewer from the event and shall forfeit their entry fee.
Brewers and their personnel shall not consume or use alcoholic beverages or other drugs at any time during the event or before the completion of all performances under this application.
Refunds
If the brewer cancels, is dismissed, booth space is forfeited, or violates any of the Terms and Conditions, the brewer will not be paid.
Sound Restrictions
Brewer agrees not to have amplified sound of any type within the booth. Brewers with amplified sound may be asked to vacate the space and will refund Downtown Salisbury, Inc.
Product
Brewer agrees only to offer the approved items in their application. The selling of unapproved items may result in dismissal from the Festival and the brewer will not be invited back. Brewer will not receive payment. The Festival reserves the right to limit approved items. Items referencing violence, weapons, drugs, profanity, nudity, or any other topic deemed inappropriate for this family-friendly event will be prohibited.
Insurance
Brewers, upon acceptance, will be required to obtain a copy of General Liability Insurance naming the City of Salisbury and Downtown Salisbury, Inc. as additionally insured, for a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence.
Booth Requirements
If the brewer’s application is accepted, the brewer will be set up within the BREWFEST area. Locations are on a first-come-first-served basis. All items, equipment, and materials MUST fit inside the booth space. No items will be allowed to be positioned outside of the approved area.
Sidewalks, walkways, and throughways need to remain clear of items for safety. Brewers are required to supply their own tents. All tents must be secured with sandbags or weights. The brewer will be solely responsible for the appearance of its space. The brewer shall maintain its space in a neat, clean, and sanitary condition during the Festival and will surrender its location at the end of the Festival in the same or better condition than originally occupied. Brewer is responsible for any loss or damages to space or equipment.
Brewer Information
A cold storage space will be provided for vendors (a refrigeration truck will be available after 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4). The brewer is responsible for storing other day-of inventory. Brewers are able to bring a minimum of three (3) sixth barrels worth of draft and cans only. Absolutely NO BOTTLES.
Brewer can acquire ice on-site from the Festival ice trailer. Brewer will be provided with 10x10 booth space, a table, and two chairs. For breweries traveling to the event, Downtown Salisbury, Inc. will provide one (1) room to be used Friday night, free ice, and a place to store your beer overnight.
Dumping/Run-Off
There will be absolutely NO dumping at the park. Waste needs to be dumped in the white pipe located behind the brick building by the playground.
Weather
This is a rain-or-shine event. In the event, there is severe weather (tornado, hurricane, etc.) BREWFEST staff will discuss the possibility of rescheduling the event for another date. Brewers are required to provide their own shade tent if desired.
Dismissal from Event
Brewer may be dismissed or removed from the Bell Tower BREWFEST if found to violate any Terms and Conditions. In the event, the brewer is dismissed from the Bell Tower BREWFEST, they will be asked to vacate booth space immediately, take all belongings, and will not be allowed to participate on-site for the remainder of the event.
Booth Security
Downtown Salisbury, Inc. and the City of Salisbury are not responsible for any items lost, stolen, or damaged. This includes, but is not limited to products, tents, tables, chairs, signs, or decorations. Brewers will be responsible for their own equipment, fixtures, inventory, and other property.
Parking
Brewer will be sent clear directions on all parking requirements before the start of the event in the confirmation email. All vehicles will be directed as to the proper procedures allowed for parking. Remote parking may be necessary and Brewers will need to plan accordingly.
Brewer’s vehicles will NOT be allowed in pedestrian areas until after closing time and permission from a representative of the Festival is given. Failure to abide by these rules will result in dismissal from the event and forfeiture of acceptance to future events.
Photos
Brewer agrees to allow Bell Tower BREWFEST to take pictures of the booth and product during the event, with no additional compensation. Photos may be used in future promotional materials.
