The Green Energy Academy is back again with its world-class solar energy training programs with huge discounts for limited time!

Our course Switch off grid: Design and Simulation of standalone PV systems will start soon on 12^th to 15^th of May 2024, Sunday to Wednesday 7:00PM to 10:30 PM Cairo Time.

All students will reciceve certificate of completion from GEA, accredited and signed form SRH berlin University of Applied Science, Germany

Our course will be 4 days, with total 14 traninng hours, 3.5 hours per day.

The course will be online by Zoom meetings.

Structure of a solar cell, equivalent circuit & I-V curves.
Effect of temperature and irradiance on voltage and current of solar cells
Crystalline Silicon - Properties
Crystalline Silicon – Efficiency, Temp. Coefficient and Cost.
From solar cells to solar modules – series & parallel connections of solar Modules
Sunshine Peak Hours (PSH), Performance Ratio and Specific Energy Yield
Main PV components from the solar industry – reading data sheets
Site survey and preliminary system design
Solar PV economics and business
Main components of off-grid systems
Types of standalone PV systems (SHS, PV Pumping, Street Lighting)
Applications of standalone PV systems (household, agriculture, cooling, water treatment)
PV Water Pumping: concepts – components – design & comparison to diesel gensets
Load estimation and charger controller, inverter, battery selection.
Define DoD/Doc for batteries, and C factor
Some useful online tools to use in off grid design.

Training learning outcomes:

Ability to perform techno-economic assessment of off-grid PV systems.
Deep understanding of the PV parameters and their real effects off grid systems.
Gain the knowledge of best practices to design & installations.
Design optimization: acquire tips and tricks to a professional and economically viable designs.
Familiarity to use online tools like PVGIS.

**Refund policy**
• If training is cancelled or delayed for any reason (such as not enough no. of participants), full fees will be refund
• If trainees decided to cancel 48 hours before training starts, full fees will be refund minus 10% as service charges
• If trainees decided to cancel less than 48 hours before the training starts, only 50% of fees will be refunded
