Hello!

Thank you for considering the 2026 WV Oil & Gas Festival Teen & Queen pageant on July 11, 2026 in Sistersville, WV at Tyler Consolidated High School. This pageant will feature Teen contestants ages 13-15 and Queen contestants ages 16-21 with one in each division being chosen as our WV Oil & Gas Festival Teen & Queen. They will be reign over the WV Oil & Gas Festival and the Queen will represent our festival at the 2027 West Virginia Assoication of Fairs and Festivals Pageant and Convention.

Areas of Compeition:

-Interview- Queen contestants will appear in front of a panel of 3 judges for up to 5 minutes. Teen contestants will interview in front of a panel of 3 judges for up to 3 minutes. During the interview process, the panel will ask the contestants questions. The majority of the questions asked will be from the information that was provided by the contestant. The judges have the ability to ask any questions they feel would determine the appropriate winner, within reason. No political or religious questions will be asked, unless they can be attributed to information listed on the contestant's bio. Attire for this phase of competition is a dressy outfit of your selection that is a representation of the contestant's personal style.
-Fun Fashion- Contestants will model their Fun Fashion attire. This can be any type of outfit that the contestant chooses to wear onstage. Think cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, etc.
-Evening Gown- Contestants will model their evening gown of their selection in a simple evening gown presentation.
-Onstage Interview- During this phase of competition, each Teen contestant will be asked 2 questions by our emcee and each Queen contestant will be asked 3 questions. Contestants will be in their evening gowns during this phase of competition.

*** Our judging is done by the circle system which is the system done by the state WVAFF Pageant as well***

Judges scores/decisions are all final! COMMENT sheets will be available via email for a 1 week window after the pageant. After July 18, 2026, all score/comment sheets will be shredded and discarded. If you are interested in receiving your COMMENT sheets (not SCORE sheets), please email wvogfpageant@gmail.com after the pageant but before July 18, 2026.

WVOGF Queen- $1,800 cash award, crown, jeweled black and white sash, black and gold sash, flowers, plaque, fantastic highly valued gift basket, 2 parent full weekend tickets to WVAFF weekend and a trip to the WV Association of Fairs and Festivals Pageant, and much much more!

Fan Favorite:

There will be a Fan Favorite of the Teen and Queen's Pageant crowned. This Fan Favorite will be determined by the contestant who obtains the highest amount of votes. Votes are $1 each. Votes can be cast by sending payment via PayPal to wvogfpageant@gmail.com, by Venmo to @WVOGFPageant, or by cash the day of the pageant up until the announced cut off time. Please send money only via friends and family if money is sent electronically! The contestant's name must also be listed on the payment when it is sent. The total number of votes raised by each contestant will not be released to any other contestant. The Fan Favorite will receive a crown, sash, plaque, and a nice gift basket. Make sure to get your friends and family involved, it is always so fun to see who will be our Fan Favorite! We are excited to see who will be our 2026 WVOGF Fan Favorite!

 

Photography:

New this year we are hosting Jonathan with Vizaframe Photography at our pageant! We are excited to work with Jonathan while he captures gorgeous photos of our contestants! Jonathan will be providing free headshots for each contestant after their interview and photo packages of onstage photos will be available for purchase after the pageant!

Contestant Registration: 11:45 - 12:00
Brief Orientation: 12:00 - 12:10
Rehearsals: 12:15 - 3:00
Interviews: 3:30
Dinner: 5:00 - 5:30
Doors Open: 6:00
Pageant Begins: 6:30

**Pageant Schedule may be adjusted at a later time depending on the number of contestants. A final schedule will be provided to contestants in their contestant welcome letter.**

The 2026 WVOGF Teen & Queen must return to Sistersville and represent the Festival for the events designated by the WVOGF Pageant Director. The Teen and Queen's obligations will include 3 major points.

1- Represent the WV Oil & Gas Festival at the 2027 WV Association of Fairs and Festivals Pageant in January of 2027. (Queen Only- not Teen)
2- Return to Sistersville in September for the 2026 WV Oil & Gas Festival and make appearances as determined by the WVOGF Pageant Director and Board of Directors.
3- Return to crown the 2027 WV Oil & Gas Festival Queens during the 2027 WVOGF Pageant and assist with the 2027 Jr. Royalty Pageant.

1. Queen Contestants must be 16 years of age before January 1, 2027 and has not reached her 22nd birthday before January 1, 2027.
2. Teen Contestants must be 13 years of age before January 1, 2027 and has not reached her 16th birthday before January 1, 2027.
3. Contestant must be a resident of West Virginia
4. Contestant must be single, remain single throughout her reign, be a non-parent, and have never have been pregnant.
5. Contestant has never or will never post anything inappropriate to social media that the WV Oil & Gas Festival Board of Directors or WV Oil & Gas Festival Pageant Director would deem unsuitable for their representative. Including but is not limited to photos of underage drinking, photos of being inappropriately dressed, photos or posts using curse words or inappropriate language. This includes but is not limited to the contestant's 'public' and 'private' social media accounts! We will not tolerate any social media use that does not portray the WV Oil & Gas Festival or their representatives in a positive manner.
6. NO ONE will be permitted backstage or in the dressing room area except contestants and pageant officials- NO EXCEPTIONS!
7. If the contestant is using a Hair and/or Make Up Artist, Hair and Make Up must be done BEFORE arriving at the pageant venue. Hair and/or Make Up Artists will NOT be allowed into the dressing room area or back stage. NO EXCEPTIONS! If a contestant is found to be having their Hair and/or Make Up done by a Hair and/or Make Up Artist, the contestant will be immediately disqualified and will NOT be eligible for a refund.
