Vero Beach Seafood Festival Pirate Encampment

We ask each crew to provide a simple “G” Rated lesson, activity, story or interactive game for their pirate fans.

Each crew member is required to fill out their own registration. All registrants are subject to criminal background checks.

Vero Beach Seafood Festival Pirate Encampment

Reminder: No Smoking, No Fires or cooking with flame inside the encampment.

Tent set up may begin as early 9am Friday . All tents will need to be off festival property no later than 2pm Monday. Each tent must have its own fire extinguisher, bucket of water or bucket of sand.

When you arrive at the festival, please seek out Captain Honey Badger for your setup instructions.  ​

Your Encampment must be kept presentable and open for public display during festival hours. Modern day goods or apparatus (cell phones, radios, bottles, cans, etc.) must not be visible to the public during these hours with the exception of festival staff when and where necessary. We do ask that you please refrain from smoking or consuming alcohol during these hours.

The Pirate Encampment is closed to the public outside of festival hours. Only Registered Overnight Campers may remain in the encampment area after hours.

Quiet time is 11pm.

Meals/Cooking: Any and all foods that need to be cooked must be cooked outside of the encampment area due to fire restrictions around the oak trees. Please inquire if you have any questions.

During festival hours and just prior to opening, food and beverage will be provided at the VIP Tent. (Please understand that with the exception of an open beverage, food and drinks may not be taken out of the VIP.)

Pets: Small pets are allowed in the encampment area provided they are accompanied by their owner at all times and do not pose a threat to patrons or fellow campers. You are solely responsible for the care and or consequences of your pet. Pets must also adhere to the 11pm quite time. Noisy pets must be moved to a safe place where they cannot be heard from inside the encampment area.

Security: Armed overnight security will be patrolling the festival grounds and may be summoned if their assistance is needed.

Photos or video that you send to us, including those that may be taken of you, your tent/booth, and or your products, works and wares, may be used to promote this and future events by POTTC Events. Usage of such shall be devoid of recompense.

​All Registrants are required to sign a Waiver of Liability prior to setting up camp or engaging in any activities on festival property.

Waiver, Release and Hold Harmless Agreement

I agree and acknowledge as follows:

4. Release of Liability. I, unconditionally waive, release, indemnify and forever discharge and hold harmless, POTTC Events, Pirates of the Treasure Coast, Riverside Park, the City of Vero Beach, the Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Vero Beach Seafood Festival, all sponsoring organizations, their directors, officers, employees, agents and volunteers, successors and assigns, and all other persons directly or indirectly liable, from all claims of legal or financial liability of any kind, including but not limited to, personal and economic injury, loss, costs, or damage arising out of or in conjunction with the above named festival or event, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, including those resulting from negligence or fault, without regard to any hazards which may exist, whether hidden or obvious.

5. Severability. If any part of this Waiver and Release is found to be invalid, all other parts of this agreement shall remain binding and continue in full force and effect. I further understand that this agreement may affect my rights and expressly agree that this agreement shall be construed as broadly as permitted by the law of the State of Florida.

6. Acknowledgment of Voluntariness. I have not been pressured or coerced in any way to participate in these activities. Any activities I undertake are done so voluntarily and solely for purposes of participating in or attending the above festival or event.

7. Affirmation. I affirm that I am an adult and legally competent to sign this release, that the terms of this release are contractual, and that this release shall be binding on me, my personal representatives, heirs, successors and assigns.

THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT. BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT YOU ARE GIVING UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE. YOU ARE ALSO ASSUMING CERTAIN OBLIGATIONS. NOTWITHSTANDING PRECAUTIONS TAKEN, ACCIDENTS AND UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES MAY OCCUR AND THEREFORE THIS AGREEMENT MUST BE SIGNED BEFORE YOU PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS RELEASE, SEEK CLARIFICATION FROM A LEGAL ADVISOR.
