    To be read, understood and signed by all players
  • Springwood United Football Clubs Vision Statement reads in part;

    To ensure a safe, fair, inclusive, successful and supportive environment for all members and to market strong Club and community values.

    The Clubs disciplinary policy statement states;

    Springwood United Football Club expects it's players, parents and spectators to behave professionally and uphold the Club's Constitution, By-Laws, Codes of Behaviour, Policies and Business Plan.

    This Players Code of Conduct was created for the purpose of maintaining good conduct and instilling the values and culture of the Club and maintaining a positive environment in the community.

    All players U12's and up are required to read, understand and then acknowledge they are aware of this Code of Behaviour for players, what the Clubs expectations are regardless of age, experience or length of service and that they as players could be subject to disciplinary action including expulsion from the Club for serious breaches of the Clubs Code of Behaviour policies.

  • Players Code of Behaviour Policy

    • Play by the rules
    • Never argue with an official. If you disagree, speak with your captain, coach or manager after the game.
    • Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials, sledging other players or deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent is not acceptable or permitted in any sport.
    • Work equally hard for yourself and/or your team. Your team’s performance will benefit and so will you.
    • Be a good sport. Applaud all good plays whether they are made by your team or the opposition
    • Treat all participants in your sport as you would like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor
    • Cooperate with your coach, team mates, officials and opponents. Without them, there would be no competition
    • Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit, not just to please your parents and coaches
    • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, cultural background or religion
    • You will show respect for your fellow players, coaches, manager and other officials by greeting them with a hand shake and listening to their advice.
    • Do not physically or verbally abuse, intimidate, ridicule or harass anyone associated with the sport, this includes all forms of electronic and social media, (player, coach, manager, parent, referee, official, committee, spectators etc.)
    • Training will start promptly at the designated time with warm up and stretching carried out by the team beforehand. Therefore allow approx 20min for this exercise
    • To allow yourself maximum opportunity at equal playing time -
      • Attend all training sessions and on time unless prior arrangements have been made
      • Show respect to the coach, manager and fellow team members
      • Arrive at the ground 30–60 minutes prior to the game. If you are running late provide the coach or manager with the courtesy of a phone call or text message
    • Whilst representing the Club in an official capacity do not wear any attire displaying swear words, foul language or inappropriate nicknames.
    • If you do not comply with any of the above conditions, a disciplinary hearing or disciplinary action may result.
