The Psi Alpha Scholarship Foundation invites graduating minority high school seniors from the Class of 2024 from Bexar and surrounding counties to participate in the Earl L. Campbell Essay Contest. The topic of the essay is below.
Earl L. Campbell is a lifelong educator. He started his career in San Antonio schools and culminated in a life of service as the assistant superintendent in the San Antonio School District. Mr. Campbell instilled the power of education in all those around him. As a Psi Alpha Scholarship Foundation member, he upheld the power of a solid education.
Write a 750-word essay explaining why the field of education is an essential college study area. The essay must be 750 words in length. Please ensure that the essay provides a clear and persuasive argument, highlighting why pursuing a degree in education can significantly impact individuals and society. Consider discussing the potential career opportunities, the importance of quality education in shaping future generations, and the role of educators in fostering positive change.

To participate, students must plan to major in Education or an education-related field. Three students will receive cash awards for $5000, $3500, or $2500. If you wish to participate, please complete the application below.
