Bhujangi 2024 Counselor Application

The counselor application is for those seeking a leadership role within Bhujangi. You will be helping out with daily activities, workshops, and logistics during the week of Bhujangi.

Bhujangi will be held for 9 days, from June 24th - July 1st, 2024, at Sierra National Forest, near Fresno, CA. You are required to attend the camp if you wish to be a counselor.

Bhujangi Youth Leadership Camp is aimed at boys ages 13-18. Young Singhs will work on developing themselves and creating a sense of community. The camp is designed to encourage leadership building and development for the next generation of Singhs. Bhujangis spend a week in the outdoors learning about goal-setting, social-emotional development, and developing a lasting bond with their brothers.

REQUIREMENTS

In order to be a counselor, you must meet the following requirements.
a. Be at least 19 years of age
b. Have prior experience in a leadership role at a camp, retreat, or conference.

If you do not meet these requirements, you do not qualify to be a counselor.

EXPECTATIONS

Applicants are expected to make full commitment to the Bhujangi staff, and meet certain responsibilities, including (but not limited to):

1. Attendance and participation on regular conference calls and Zoom from April to June

2. Contribution to marketing efforts through tabling, flyering, and fundraising.

3. Assistance with any logistical tasks that might arise before, during, or after the camp.
