Hello Families,
As we approach the summer break, I am thrilled to inform you about an exciting opportunity for your child to engage in a dynamic, enriching and free learning experience. Our STEAM Program, College and Career Program, Community Service Program, and Media Program are sure to keep your student busy this summer.
Join us for our traditional STEAM Program from June 10th to July 3rd, Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm (with the exception of field trip days and pending special events). This is similar to our school year program. We plan to tie-dye, screen print, paint, engage in reading, math activities, and explore robotics and coding.
Is your student starting to prepare for life after high school? Our College and Career Program will allow students to explore colleges and universities in Pennsylvania while also helping them prepare for applications and financial planning. This program runs from June 10th through June 14th, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (or 5:30 pm for Penn State).
Our Media Program immerses students in the world of video production within a professional TV studio environment. Through hands-on instruction, they learn camera operation, lighting techniques, sound recording, and video editing using industry-standard software. Guided by experienced instructors, students collaborate to produce diverse video content, honing their storytelling skills and technical expertise. Equipped with these tools, they emerge ready to create compelling videos that resonate with audiences across various platforms. This program is scheduled from June 10th through June 14th, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Need community service hours? Our Community Service Program will be going to different locations throughout the Lehigh Valley to help support the community. Students are eligible to earn community service hours while working with peers to learn about different careers. This program is June 17th through June 20th from 9am to 5pm.
Transportation will be provided to and from Liberty High School. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. All field trips are free however we suggest sending money along for snacks to Knoebels.
All field trips are tentative and pending PDE approval.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Erin Phillips, 21st CCLC Program Manger
