Welcome to the 2024 St. Petersburg Audubon Dr. Harold Albers Teacher Ecology Camp. There are two workshops to choose from and you may select to attend either one or both camps below.
Workshop A -- Freshwater Wetland Ecology: June 3, 4, & 5 (In-person classroom & field trips; a total of 18 contact hours) - June 3 & 4 (Monday & Tuesday) at the Hillsborough River State Park in Thonotosassa (classroom and field trips) and June 5 (Wednesday) field trip paddling down the Weeki Wachee River in Spring Hill. Participants will provide their transportation to all classroom and field trip locations.
Workshop B -- Freshwater Wetland Wildlife & their Habitats: June 6 - 7 (In-person classroom and field trips; a total of 12 contact hours) -- June 6 (Thursday) at the Crystal Springs Preserve in Zephyrhills and June 7 (Friday) at the Brooker Creek Preserve in Tarpon Springs. Classroom and field trips will occur at the daily host preserve location. Participants will provide their transportation to all classroom and field trip locations.
Pinellas County teachers are preapproved for these Component Points. If you are in another County, check with your school administration before attending to get approval for your Component Points too.
